REFLEXOLOGY

With so many nerves ending in our feet, its no wonder that treating them has an instantly relaxing effect on the whole body. Many people find reflexology relaxes them so much they either fall asleep or go into a dream state, during the treatment.

After massaging the feet to encourage relaxation, I use a firm pressure to either stimulate, relax or bring into balance specific reflex points. This may help to release areas of congestion, or stuck energy, elsewhere in the body, which presents itself as symptoms. I use either a balm, body butter or powder depending on suitability to the client.

MASSAGE

A massage with me draws on my training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy and Indian Head Massage, as well as regular supervision to bring you a treatment that focuses on where you need it most in a manner that is suitable to you.

Whether you are looking for a calm quiet time to relax and feel nurtured or whether you have particular aches and knots of tension you want to be treated, as part of the initial consultation process we will talk through your wishes and what outcome you are hoping for.

For massage, I use a plain grapeseed oil and for tight areas of tension I use the Neal’s Yard Remedies Arnica Salve, a beeswax based balm with lavender, rosemary and ginger essential oils.
